HIKARI’s Seat belt anchorage (ECE R14)

HIKARI’s Seat belt anchorage (ECE R14 regulation) test rig  consists in an electric or hydraulic actuation, and a real time closed-control system with small control loop latency which ensures high synchronization among the cylinders and precision and repeatability of the results.

The test system will fulfill the requirements described in the following automotive regulations:

  • ECE R14
  • FMVSS 210
  • FMVSS 225
  • ADR 34/02
  • ISOFIX test procedures
  • Other similar types of profiles

HIKARI proposes a test system to perform seat belt anchorages test by applying controlled loads with hydraulic/electric actuators with a servocontrol.

The system is capable to test one, two or three seats belts anchorages simultaneously according to the regulation.

The test system main components are:

  • A rigid main structure “reaction frame” that supports 3 movable horizontal beams.
  • A motorized elevation guides system that allows individual movement of each horizontal beam to any position on the vertical range, where they can be fixed.
  • Hydraulic actuators attached to the horizontal beams through movable actuator supports. Each actuator will be mounted on a clevis bracket to allow angle adjustment with respect to the horizontal plane.

The control system is carried out in a combined execution by means of a real time microprocessor-based system HIKARI test control system standard, the HIKARI SmartControlSystem or HIKARI SCS.

 

The HIKARI SCS software is based on Labview architecture. This control architecture allows growth with more control channels and the integration of any kind of specific hardware for special tasks. This is a very common and easy-to-handle system.

Control system includes:

  • Real-Time controller microprocessor (Ethernet based).
  • Control sampling rate: from 100 to 2000Hz.
  • The A/D and D/A conversion functions are performed by the hardware with a resolution of 16-bit.
  • Sensor calibration parameters can be calibrated/adjusted by users.
  • Additional channels can be provided for additional instrumentation.
  • Programmable Digital I/O, usable for external devices triggering.
  • Also, the control system manages all safety devices like emergency stop buttons and warning lighting signals. At the same can provide digital outputs, to trigger 3 cameras to record synchronically.
  • Each actuator can achieve independent closed-loop control and can control load with force/torque/displacement.
  • All actuators can achieve independent loading or synchronous loading, and the error of synchronous loading (the difference between the maximum and minimum value of loading force/minimum value at any time during the loading process) is ≤5%.
  • It can be loaded to the specified load value at the specified speed or within the specified time range (0.2~10 s) and can maintain the specified load value.
  • Actuators can be loaded into three seats at the same time, and each actuator shall be equipped with standard heads (both hemispherical and semi-cylindrical) and back shapes.
